Spend your extra free time with BISC-E

Do you suddenly have much more free time in Corona times than you are used to? Are you looking for ways to spend that time in a useful and fun way? Then join the digital kickoff meeting of BISC-E. In this competition, student teams develop a biobased product or process. You can win nice prizes and the winning team will represent the Netherlands in the European final in October!

What is BISC-E?
BISC-E is a student competition for WO and HBO students. The assignment is to develop a biobased product or process that can reduce the use of fossil raw materials. Last year, for example, the teams developed sound insulation boards from manure, coatings from cooking oil, Christmas decorations from the previous year's Christmas trees and kerosene from waste streams. In the competition you do not have to develop a prototype of your idea, but you must be able to demonstrate that it is technically and economically feasible.

Get inspired!
During the kickoff meeting (this year via video conferencing) we will tell you more about the competition. Be inspired by last year's examples and ask all your questions. The Dutch final will be organized on 19 June. Hopefully we can get together then in person!
