The Department of Biological Engineering (DEB) (www.deb.uminho.pt) & Centre of Biological Engineering, CEB (www.ceb.uminho.pt) are located at the University of Minho (in Braga, Portugal,) where scientists, based on a concept of valorization of natural and waste resources, are defied to combine fundamental science with Engineering to obtain value-added products or processes applicable in Food, Chemical, Biotech and Enviromental industries.
